Antibacterial protection and mould resistance
Little Knights is a beautiful antibacterial paint, ideal for the nursery, bedroom, bathroom and anywhere else in the house. It is durable, wipe clean and contains a unique additive that helps protect you and your little ones from harmful bacteria and moulds.
Peace of mind…
Young children often put their fingers (or anything else that’s within reach) into their mouths, which is the main way germs enter the body. While we might struggle to help you implement a good hand-washing regime, we can give you peace of mind that when those little fingers touch a wall painted with Little Knights they are not spreading or picking up bacteria.
Superior antibacterial protection
The unique antibacterial additive used in Little Knights was developed by our parent company, Tetramass, a specialist manufacturer of bespoke additives and coatings. With many worldwide regulatory approvals, the antibacterial additive is supported by the Health & Safety Executive, Biocidal Products Regulations, Environmental Protection Agency and the Food and Drug Administration. It proven effective against ALL known bacteria (even antibiotic-resistant strains) including those that cause sickness, gastroenteritis, meningitis, MRSA and salmonella.Anti mould paint
Mould and mildew grows in humid, warm and poorly ventilated places. Once established it will quickly mature and send spores floating throughout the home, which can cause respiratory problems. However, the antibacterial paint properties of Little Knights help suppress the growth of mould and mildew. Not all antibacterial coatings are the same
Many antibacterial coatings use silver nanoparticle technology, which is effective for a while but has been shown to migrate out of the paint, eventually leaving the surface unprotected. By contrast, the Little Knights antibacterial agent is inherent in the structure of the paint. This means that the antimicrobial properties remain effective for as long as there is paint on the wall. It also means that you can wipe clean the painted surface without compromising its ability to kill bacteria and supress mould growth.
Listed below are some of the bacteria and moulds that our antibacterial additive has been tested against:
Listeria monocytogenes - The third-most-common cause of meningitis in new-borns
Pseudomonas aeruginosa - A common bacterium that can cause disease and hot tub rash
Staphylococcus aureus - A common cause of skin infection, respiratory disease (such as sinusitis) and food poisoning
Clostridium difficult - A common causes of diarrhoea
Enterobacter cloacae - Associated with urinary tract and respiratory tract infections
Escherichia coli 0157:H7 - Can lead to haemorrhagic diarrhoea, and to kidney failure
Legionella pneumophila - Causes legionnaires disease
Proteus vulgarise - Known to cause urinary tract infections and wound infections
Streptococcus faecalis - Can cause life-threatening infections in humans
Candida albicans - Can cause both oral and genital infections in humans
